Adding Additional Devices
Install the device and configure the ports using the same procedures in
Removing an Existing Driver
Use the appropriate procedure for your environment.
Windows XP and
Windows 2000
Use the following procedure to remove any existing NS-Link device driver for the
Windows XP or Windows 2000 operating systems.
1.
From the Start button, right-click on My Computer, and select Manage from the
shortcut menu.
2.
In the Tree panel of the Computer Management window, highlight Device
Manager.
3.
Expand the Multi-port serial adapters entry to view the list.
4.
Right-click on the device you want to remove and select the Uninstall menu
item.
5.
Select Ok at the Confirm Device Removal popup.
6.
Close the Device Manager window and resume normal operations.
Windows NT
Use the following procedure to remove the existing Windows NT driver. If
updating (not reconfiguring) NS-Link for Windows NT, make sure that you remove
the existing version before installing an updated driver.
Note: Using the Remove button on the
Comtrol Main Setup sheet only
discards the software
configuration, it does not remove
the software.
1.
Right-click on the Network
Neighborhood, and select Properties.
2.
Select the Adapters tab.
