Section 7: Reference
7.1.1 COMPRESSOR/LIMITER
From the days of the “stomp box” pedal effects to the current use of rack mount devices, the Compressor has been
a vital tool for the guitarist. The FX770 features a classic Compressor designed especially for guitar (just like your
favorite “stomp box”), and a modem Limiter to fill your contemporary “rack mount” sound needs.
Type 1 & 2: COl (compressor 1), C02 (Compressor 2)
Compressor C02 has a much deeper effect than the COl.

Determines how long it takes for compression to begin after an input signal is detected.
A higher value emphasizes the attack.
Determines how long it takes for the compression to be released after the input signal drops.
Balances out the volume level when the Compressor/Limiter Effect Block is being used. (Set this level
carefully! Usually, try to set the Volume level of the Comp/Lim effect block to be the same whether the effect
is in or out of the signal chain) . However, another technique is to raise the level here so that distortion will
be more effective.
