Section 4: The Edit Mode
The EDIT Mode offers complete access and control over all of the parameters that are contained in an Effect Program.
Additionally, features including: Patch Select, Noise Gate, Title Edit, Volume Position, ESI Assignment, Controller
1&2 Assignments, and Effect Copy can also be set in this Mode. Parameter settings can be stored. The EDIT Mode is
entered by pressing the [EDIT] function key and is verified with it’s own LED located above the [EDIT] key.
EFFECT PARAMETER EDIT
The EDIT Mode allows access to each individual Effect Block for selecting and editing of effect parameter values.
Effects can also be turned on or off in this Mode by using the [BYPASS] function key.
SETTING OTHER FUNCTIONS
Pressing the [EDIT] function key allows you to edit the Patch Select, Noise Gate, Title Edit, Volume Position, ESI
Assignment, Controller 1&2 Assignments, and Effect Copy parameters. When you've finished editing, press the
[STORE] button to store the Effect Program. Once the Effect Program has been stored. Play mode is selected
automatically. If you don't want to store the Effect Program, press [PLAY] to exit Edit mode. When you try to select
another Effect Program, the LCD shown below will appear prompting you to store the Program. Press [PLAY] again
to continue.

4.1 EFFECT PATCH CONFIGURATION (PATCH SELECT)
The FX770 features four different programmable signal paths that are called PATCHES. These PATCHES determine the
order of the MOD, DELAY and REVERB Effects Blocks and allow you to create a wide range of varied and striking effects.
Each Patch is designated by a number 1-4 and features a different combination of series or series/parallel Effect Blocks.
When you recall a Program that uses the same patch. Delay feedback of the previous program will remain effective.

Patch# Effect Order/Type
The Patch # designates the currently selected Patch number as described above.
The Effect Order and Type display contains the signal flow order and shows the type of effect used in the currently
selected Program. series,

The first page in the EDIT Mode is used for Patch Select. To reach the Patch Select page, press the [EDIT] function key
until the Patch Select display appears in the LCD. Use the [DATA WHEEL] to change the currently selected Patch
Number.
