4.6 Adding
distillation
material
Additional distillation material can be added during distillation and while under
vacuum via the inlet hose and pipe.

1. Insert the inlet hose (1) in the additional material.
2. Turn the cock plug (2) parallel to the inlet hose (1).
The additional distillation material will be drawn into the evaporating flask.
4.7 Manual
aeration
The system can be aerated via the cock plug (Fig.
4-23 (2)) of the inlet pipe:
Turn the cock plug (Fig. 4-23 (2)) of the inlet pipe slowly upward.
The system will be aerated.
4.7.1 Installing/connecting accessories

Installing the guard hood
1. Attach the guard hood holder (2) to the vertical stop (1) with the two
included Allen-head screws (3).
2. Release the clamping screw (4) and align the guard hood (5) to the
heating bath by moving it horizontally.
3. Retighten the clamping screw.
The guard hood is now installed. It can be opened using the grip.
