The Inverter fault codes are always prefaced by “05A” ini-
tials, for example 05A79 or 05A38, etc.
IMPORTANT: BEFORE STARTING THE DIAGNOSIS
WITH FAULT RESEARCH, CONTROL THE VOLTAGE
LEVEL OF THE BATTERY PACK.
76 Key off shorted
Cause: Key-off signal is low at key-on.
Solution: Check the 12 volt battery and its connexions, check the DC-DC and its connexions, check
the inverter connexions; replace the inverter.
77 Contactor open
Cause: Main contactor is not closed even if fed by the inverter
Solution: Check the main contactor
77 Tiller Error
Cause: Input mismatch between hard & soft switch input and tiller input.
Solution: Check the Can Bus Line connexions.
78 VACC not OK
Cause:
Solution: Usually it is a temporary anomaly due to a particular working condition. In case the anomaly
persists replace the inverter.
79 Incorrect start
Cause: Starting procedure not correct
Solution: Control the electric connections. Usually it is a temporary anomaly due to a particular work-
ing condition. In case the anomaly persists replace the inverter.
80 Emergncy MDI CAN code alarm
Cause: Emergency MDI code alarm
Solution: Check the inverter feeds
82 Encoder Error
Cause: Problem on the encoder
Solution: Check the connexions from the inverter to the electric motor; replace the inverter
86 Pedal wire KO
Cause:
Solution: Usually it is a temporary anomaly due to a particular working condition. In case the anomaly
persists replace the inverter.
86 Pos EB shorted
Cause: Output not correct
Solution: Check the inverter connexions; replace the inverter
89 Power MOS shorted
Cause: Short circuit in the power mosfets
Solution: Replace the inverter
93 Wrong set batt
Cause: With supply ON, the control test detected batteries not in conformity.
Solution: Replace the batteries with the original ones supplied by JLG.
94 Current sensor KO
Cause: Max current setup procedure active.
Solution: Contact JLG after sales dept.
96 Analog Input
Cause: Problem on the A/D conversion of uC
Solution: It should be a temporary error, if the problem occurs permanently replace the inverter
99 Check up needed
Cause:
Solution: Contact JLG after sales dept.
