CELLS
The cells are the real core of the battery pack; all the other
internal components have the function to allow at the cells
to work at the best possible.
All the cells have the same characteristics and they are
connected in series by metallic plates in order to reach the
voltage level required; every cell has a capacity of 90 Ah
that is the total battery pack capacity too.
Cell features:
Rated voltage of each cell: 3,2 Volt
Max cell voltage: 3,65 Volt
Min cell voltage: 2,5 Volt
Charge cycles(*): 2000 cycles
Cathode: Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO

)
Anode:
Graphite
According with these characteristics, in order to reach 48
Volt the battery pack is equipped with 15 cells, while there
are 22 cells in the 72 Volt battery pack.
Voltage level of every cell is continuously monitored by
the BMS (Battery Management System) it is electrically
connected to every cell by a filter, so filters and cells are
in the same number.
The position of every cell and its filter is very important,
because BMS has to know exactly the situation of every
cell in order to manage the charge and discharge current
as better as possible.
For this reason it is very important don’t change the cell
positions; drawings below show the cells disposal:
