The Eppendorf InjectMan ® NI 2 micromanipulator is specially designed as a micromanipulator
for use in microinjection.
Its optimum functionality and user-friendliness make the InjectMan ® NI 2 the ideal solution for
easy injection. This is illustrated particularly by the large number of injected cells.
The Eppendorf InjectMan ® NI 2 micromanipulator combines the classic benefits of a
mechanical system (direct feeling for tool movements) with the advantages of a precise
motorised system.
The direct and sturdy adapter between the module unit and the microscope tripod (optionally
positioned at the left or right) and the separate control board prevent oscillation and vibration.
Connection to the FemtoJet ® , FemtoJet ® express or Transjector 5246 also permits
semi-automated injections. The injection motion and pressure are activated simultaneously at
the press of a button.
The highly resource-conserving way in which the microcapillaries are injected axially at any
desired angle into the cell, and also extracted axially, considerably increases the effectiveness
and broadens the range of application of microinjection.
No manual wobble of the capillary can damage the cell. The microelectronics and the software
help to conserve the cells to the maximum extent.
The clearly laid out keypad with the additional display also help to avoid operator errors and so
protect the preparation and the tool.
The unit can be attached to any commonly used inverted microscopes by way of an appropriate
adapter. The capillary can be aligned at any angle and in any direction.
Defined working planes and limits largely eliminate the possibility of damage to the capillaries.
An integral CLEAN/HOME function greatly eases the handling and changing of capillaries.
Simple, self-explanatory user control also permits inexperienced users to begin performing
injections into adherent cells quickly and successfully. Additional functions are available for the
more experienced user.
