The new speed is shown on the display as a modified
block diagram.
If the capillary touches the medium surface for example (visually monitored),
switch to FINE mode.
The capillary is moved into the beam path of the microscope by changing the
plane of the joystick. Carefully lowering the capillary by rotating the joystick to the
right brings the tip of the capillary into the focal plane (microscopic control). Adjust the speed as
necessary by way of the turn wheel.
The focal plane is adjusted carefully to the cells. The capillary tip is brought into the focal plane.
Press the "Limit" key.
The Inject function cannot be executed
without a defined limit.
The set limit is indicated on the bottom line of the display
directly above the "Limit" key. The number before the
limit indicator is the level of the limit. The value is stored.
The capillary cannot be moved any lower.
Move the capillary up slightly by rotating the joystick to the left. The height to which the capillary
moves is termed the "search plane".
By moving the joystick the capillary tip is moved over a cell in the search plane.
Press the joystick button initiates the
automatic injection movement. The
capillary is moved to the side and then
axially to the limit plane.
In parallel with the injection movement,
the connected microinjector is
activated and the injection pressure is
built up. When the microinjector's
injection time has elapsed the capillary is returned to the search plane.
This procedure automatically injects the cell with the pre-set parameters.
