REMOVING SHIELDING TO GAIN ACCESS
TO COMPONENTS FOR INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
INTRODUCTION
To gain access to perform inspection,lubrication and
maintenance operations, shields, access doors, and
panels may need to be opened, closed, removed and
reinstalled. The following pages cover these
procedures.
IMPORTANT: After performing work on the tractor,
install all safety shields before operating the tractor.
IMPORTANT: Follow the guidelines listed in
“Servicing the Tractor” heading in the “Safety
Precautions” Section 0 of this book.
ENGINE ACCESS DOORS
An access door, 1, with a hand grip slot, 2, is located
on each side of the tractor to provide access for all
daily engine fluid level checks and to perform other
maintenance.
Located inside the left side access door are the:

Hood release lever
•
Coolant recovery tank
•
Engine oil dipstick
•
Engine oil fill cap
•
Engine oil filter
Located inside the right side access door are the:
•
Fuel filter/water separator
•
Starter
•
Booster battery connection points

Pull outward on the hand grip, 1, to open the door.
