Configuring Bridge MIB Extensions
The Bridge MIB includes extensions for managed devices that support
Traffic Classes, Multicast Filtering and Virtual LANs. To configure these
extensions, use the Extended Bridge Configuration screen as shown
below.
Bridge Capability

Extended
Multicast Filtering
Services
Enables filtering of individual multicast addresses
based on GMRP (GARP Multicast Registration
Protocol). Note that this function is not available
for the current firmware release.
Traffic Classes
Provides mapping of user priorities to multiple
traffic classes. (Refer to the Priority menu.)
Static Entry
Individual Port
Enables static filtering for unicast and multicast
addresses. (Refer to the Address Table.)
VLAN Learning
This switch uses Independent VLAN Learning
(IVL), whereby each port maintains its own VLAN
filtering database.
Configurable PVID
Tagging
Allows you to override the default PVID setting
(Port VLAN ID used in frame tags) and its egress
status (VLAN-Tagged or Untagged) on each port.
(Refer to VLAN/VLAN Port Configuration.).
Local VLAN
Capable
This switch does not support multiple local
bridges (that is, multiple Spanning Trees).
