set snmp
Description Configures the settings for the embedded SNMP agent.
NOTE:
Although all parameters are optional, at least one parameter must be
supplied for the command to be valid.
NOTE:
If a parameter is not specified then the current setting remains unchanged.
Syntax
set snmp [community=<community>] [desc=<sysDescr>]
[location=<sysLocation>] [contact=<sysContact>]
[trap<n>=<dest-ip>[,<community>]]
Operands
NOTE:
All SNMP strings must be no longer than 255 characters, and they may
not contain spaces.
community=<community>
An SNMPv2 community string.
descr=<sysDescr>
The string for the SNMP sysDescr property.
location=<sysLocation>
The string for SNMP sysLocation property.
contact=<sysContact>
The string for SNMP sysContact property.
trap <c><n>=<dest-ip>[,]
The trap destination table index and IP address.
Example
The following example sets the SNMP agent to use the community string private, the system description
My MSA, the system location Houston, TX, and the contact name John Doe. It also sets the first trap
address to a community string of private, and a destination IP of 10.2.1.2.
CLI> set snmp community=private desc="My MSA" location="Houston, TX"
contact="John Doe" trap0=10.2.1.2,private
