set preferred_path

Description

For dual-controller configurations only, this command either sets the

controller ownership (path) for the specified LUNs, or, resets the preferred

path of the specified LUNs to the last explicitly-set path. When executing

this command, please note that I/O will be delayed slightly during the

transfer of ownership.

NOTE:

If auto_path_change is enabled, the firmware may subsequently,

automatically change the path of the LUN. For more information see

set

auto_path_change

.

Syntax

set preferred_path <controller> <unit_list>

or
set preferred_path reset <unit_list>

Operands

<controller>

The controller to assign as owner of the LUNs. Valid entries include:
this_controller, other_controller, controller=1, or

controller=2

reset

If reset is entered instead of a controller, ownership of the specified LUNs

is changed to the last explicity-set path.

<unit_list>

The LUN or LUNs for which to set the path. An individual LUN or range

of LUNs may be entered. For example: 0-4 6 10 will include LUNs 0, 1,

2, 3, 4, 6, and 10.
