set unit_id
Description Assigns a unique user-friendly name (alias) to a LUN. A user-defined name
makes it easier to identify specific LUNs in other configuration procedures.
Syntax set unit_id <unit number> <name>
Operand unit>
The unit number (0-31) of the LUN.
<name>
The user-friendly name (alias) to assign to the LUN. The ID can be up
to 230 alphanumeric characters or a decimal number in the range of 0
through 65535. If spaces are included within the name, quotation marks
are required.
Example
To assign the alias UnitZero to LUN number 0:
CLI> set unit_id 0 UnitZero
Device identifier "UnitZero" created.
