Checking volume information when using the CLI commands
Before defining a tiering policy group, acquire volume information from the storage system by executing
the
KTQRYDEV
command for the volumes to be defined, and then check the volume information.
Based on the acquired information for volumes, consider how they are used for tasks and examine
the tiering policy group to be defined.

Procedure

Specify a volume for which you want to acquire information, and then execute the
KTQRYDEV
command.
The acquired volume information is stored in the host-discovered array structure and the device
information structure.
