6. Double-click on the update package
that was downloaded from the Web
site. This will launch the Lincoln Elec-
tric System Update Utility, which will
guide a user through the upgrade
process. Select the option “Connect
through the serial port” to tell the sys-
tem update utility how it should com-
municate with the welder.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions
given by the system update utility.
Note: If user does not want to overwrite
the existing weld sets (that is, if a
user has a customer-specific weld
set), or backup the existing weld
sets, the system update utility
gives the option.
