Circuit overloading — Consideration should be given to the connection of the
equipment to the supply circuit and the effect that overloading of the circuits might
have on overcurrent protection and supply wiring. Appropriate consideration of
equipment nameplate ratings should be used when addressing this concern.
5.
Reliable earthing (grounding) — Reliable earthing of rack-mounted equipment
should be maintained. Particular attention should be given to supply connections
other than direct connections to the branch circuit (such as the use of power strips).
Rack Mounting
For optional rack mounting, mount the unit on an RSF 123 1U Rack Shelf
(part #60-190-20) (see figure 1) or an RSU 129 standard Universal 1U Rack Shelf
(part #60-190-01) (see
). On the standard rack shelf, the unit mounts in one of
four locations to the rear of the rack or in one of four locations to the front of the rack.

If feet were previously installed on the bottom of the IPL T SFI244 unit, remove them.
2.
Mount the unit on the rack shelf, using two 4-40 x 3/16-inch screws in opposite
(diagonal) corners to secure the unit to the shelf.
3.
Install blank panel(s) or other unit(s) to the rack shelf.
4.
Insert the shelf into the rack, aligning the holes in the shelf with those in the rack.
5.
Secure the shelf to the rack using the supplied machine screws. This shelf can be
mounted in the front or in the rear of the rack.
