c Chapter 1 : Install Global Configurator.
• Install from the Software Products CD-ROM, or
• Download from Extron Web site.
c Chapter 2 : Make the IPL T PC1 cable connections.

4 . c IR-controlled device
5 . c Switch or sensor (to contact closure Input port)
c Chapter 3 : Create a Global Configurator project file, add a
device, and configure it. Build and upload the GC project
file. Launch the GlobalViewer ® interface.
1. c Download device drivers.
2 . c Create a new Global Configurator project file.
3 . c Add a device.
4. c Define the location of the new device.
5 . c Save the new Global Configurator file.
6 . c Enter contacts.
7 . c Create e-mail messages.
8 . c Enter output receptacle and contact input port
labels.
9 . c Assign device drivers.
10 . c Set scheduled actions and e-mail deliveries.
11 . c Set monitored conditions.
12 . c Build the Global Configurator file.
13 . c Upload the Global Configurator file.
14 . c Change device settings (if desired).
15 . c Launch the GlobalViewer ® interface.
