to use the Compound Library
For a correct use of this compound library it is necessary to follow some steps and rules.
compound block
Compound block name
compound
First step to use a compound block is to import its file name into a Win+Drive scheme. For this use import
compound block menu.
Input port priority
Every input port is usually executed. This means that the block connected to the input port is performed.
Sometimes an input port can
the execution of other input ports, depending on its value. So there is
usually a priority order among input ports.
In this library the following priority order among integerports has been followed:
l
Reset, that usually sets the output of compound to 0, is the highest priority input port and when
all other integer input ports are not executed
l
Disable, that usually disables the functionality of the compound, has inferior priority than Reset input
l
Preset, that usually sets the output to a desired value, is the input port with lowest priority and is executed
when all other integer input ports are not enabled
This is only a rule to be kept in mind during the building of the library, but in some compounds, even if the
priority order is followed, all integer input ports can be always executed, for example, when Reset!=O. So
each compound can execute the input in a different way.
Refer to each compound description for its specific behavior.
Compound block name
The name of a simple compound block is composed by a series of names divided by the underscore character
each starting with a capital letter and continuing in small letters.
On the contrary the name of more complex compound blocks is composed by a series of names divided by the
underscore character
all written in capital letters.
