Connecting Headphones
The HP103e/102e has two jacks for plugging in headphones.
This allows two people to listen through headphones simul-
taneously, making it very useful for lessons and when per-
forming piano pieces for four hands. Additionally, this
allows you to play without having to worry about bothering
others around you, even at night.
Plug the headphones into the Phones jack located
at the bottom left of the piano.
When headphones are connected, the [
(Headphones)]
indicator (p. 6) lights up, and sounds stop playing from
the speakers of the HP103e/102e.
The headphone volume is adjusted by the [Volume] knob
(p. 9) of the HP103e/102e.
Some notes on using headphones
• To prevent damage to the cord, handle the headphones only
by the headset or the plug.
• Connecting the headphones when the volume of connected
equipment is turned up may result in damage to the head-
phones. Lower the volume on the HP103e/102e before plug-
ging in the headphones.
• Listening at excessively high volume levels will not only
damage the headphones, but may also cause hearing loss.
Use the headphones at a moderate volume level.
■ Using the Headphones Hook
Whenever you are not using the headphones, you can
hang them on the headphone hook at the lower left of the
HP103e/102e.
