4.) Set the serial COM1 port terminal communication settings.
a.) Initiate a Terminal Session using terminal emulation software
(i.e., Hyperterminal).
b.) Select the appropriate serial COM port from the pull down
menu (i.e., COM1, COM2, etc).
c.) Verify the port settings are the same as shown in Figure 2-19,
"COM Port Settings." and click O K .
