Remove Crankshaft

Removal of Governor Gear Assembly
‘Žȱ˜ŸŽ›—˜›ȱŽŠ›ȱ’œȱ‘Ž•ȱ˜—˜ȱ‘Žȱœ‘ŠĞȱ‹¢ȱœ–Š••ȱ
molded tabs in the gear. When the gear is removed
›˜–ȱ‘Žȱœ‘ŠĞǰȱ‘ŽœŽȱŠ‹œȱŠ›ŽȱŽœ›˜¢ŽȱŠ—ȱ‘ŽȱŽŠ›ȱ
must be replaced. Therefore, remove the gear only
’ȱŠ‹œ˜•žŽ•¢ȱ—ŽŒŽœœŠ›¢ǯȱȱȱ‘Žȱ˜ŸŽ›—˜›ȱŒ›˜œœȱœ‘ŠĞǰȱ
yoke, or gear condition does not require removal,
‘Žȱ˜ŸŽ›—˜›ȱŽŠ›ȱ–Š¢ȱ‹Žȱ•ŽĞȱ’—ȱ™•ŠŒŽǯȱȱ›Ž–˜ŸŠ•ȱ’œȱ
necessary, perform as follows:
1. Remove the locking tab thrust washer and note
orientation.
2. Using a screwdriver, carefully pry up to unseat
governor gear assembly from the governor gear
œ‘ŠĞǯȱŽ–˜ŸŽȱ‘Žȱ›Žž•Š’—ȱ™’—ȱŠ—ȱ˜ŸŽ›—˜›ȱ
ŽŠ›ȱŠœœŽ–‹•¢ǯȱŽŽȱ’ž›ŽȱŞȬśŞǯ
