Functions of the FP100 Keypad Keys

DECIMAL POINT

Used to enter fixed-point

numbers.

RUN

- Runs a program, jogs

an axis, or accesses Test/
Debug functions.

EDIT

- Edits Setup parame-

ters and programs, lists pro-
grams, & resets position
counter.

HELP

- Provides help on

keys, menus, and command
syntax.

COPY

- Copies one program

to another within a control.

DEL

- Deletes characters in

the editor or deletes entire
programs from memory.

Menu Keys

RUN

- Run stored moves,

probe and jog the motor,
warm-boot the drive, and
enable/disable software
shutdown.

EDIT

- Configure and tune

the setup and stored move
parameters. Select, edit,
and load project files.

HELP

- Displays keypad,

firmware, and hardware ver-
sions. Shows drive and I/O
status, and fault history.

COPY

- Copies project files

to and from a drive.

DEL

- Deletes project files or

characters in a text-entry
editor.

DECIMAL POINT

Used to enter fixed-point
numbers when the text-
entry editor allow it.

COMMA

May be used in file names.

ENTER

Selects project files and
saves edits to project files
in the File Options menu.

0-9 Keys

Enters numbers directly, and
letters when preceded by the
ALPHA key.

F Keys (F1-F2-F3)

Used as menu or sub-menu item

selectors.

←↑→ ↓

For scrolling through menu

options, setup choices, and
files in the editor.

Moves motor in JOG mode.

ALPHA

ALPHA plus a numeric key

selects alphabet charac-
ters, for example:

ALPHA +1 selects A,
ALPHA +1+1 selects B

ALPHA

ALPHA plus a numeric key

selects alphabet characters.

Pressing:
ALPHA >1 enters “A”
ALPHA >1>1>1>1 enters “a”

ESC

Saves an entry and moves back
one menu level.

±

Serves as a minus or
hyphen key on the
FFP100 keypad. The
+ symbol is not avail-
able on the FP100.
