8.2.2.2 Installing a non-hot-plug expansion card

Ê Insert the new expansion card in the provided slot (see oval in figure above)
of the removal tool.
Ê Insert the green engaging hooks (see circles in figure above) in the rods and
push them down until they engage in the upper edge of the expansion card.

CAUTION!
Make sure that the ports on the expansion card are not blocked by the
engaging hooks.
Ê Insert the expansion card fastened to the removal tool in the PCI slot.
Ê Close the slot lock (see figure 28 on page 109 ) by folding it down. Make sure
that the slot lock engages.
Ê If necessary, connect the cables on the expansion card.
Ê Close the server (see "Opening/Closing the server" on page 134 ).
