Before you begin, complete these tasks:

Power off the server using one of the methods described in the section,

“Disconnect Power Cords From the Server” on page 68

“Perform Electrostatic Discharge – Antistatic Prevention Measures” on page 73

“Remove the Top Cover” on page 73

Do the following:

1. Ensure that the power cords are disconnected from the server.

2. Loosen the two captive No. 2 Phillips screws securing the service processor to

the motherboard.
