Option Description Default
data-size Enter datagram size in bytes. 56
df-bit {yes | no} Enter yes to set the DF bit in the IP header to prevent the ICMP
packet from being fragmented. Setting df-bit to no allows the
ICMP packet to be fragmented. no
pattern Enter a pattern to fill the optional data buffer at the end of the
ICMP packet, for example 00ffaabb. The size of the buffer is
specified using the data_size parameter. This allows you to
send out packets of different sizes for testing the effect of
packet size on the connection. None
repeat-count Enter the number of times to repeat the ping. The value must be
greater than 0. 5
source {auto | } Select the interface from which the ping is sent. Enter either
