User’s Guide for ImageCard® Select™ and UltraGrafix® Select™ Printers
The e-Guide and Acrobat Reader are not available to install.
To install a printer to a USB port, click Cancel, power on the printer,....
Acrobat Reader is required to view the e-Guide....
Possible Cause Action
This printer driver was downloaded
from the Datacard web site.
The components are available for
download separately to shorten
download times.
If an earlier version of the driver was
installed, Acrobat Reader should be
installed on the PC.
Check the Datacard web site for an
updated e-Guide. Download and
unzip the file if needed.
This printer driver was copied from
the driver CD to another location. All the files needed for the installation
were not copied to the new location.
Obtain the e-Guide (see “Printer
driver CD-ROM” on page B-8 for the
correct location). Also obtain the
installation program for Acrobat
Reader if it is not installed on the PC.
Possible Cause Action
You have selected “USB” from the list
of available ports. All USB devices must be installed
using the New Hardware Detected
wizard. Cancel this installation. Power
on the printer and connect it to a USB
port. The New Hardware Detected
wizard should appear. If it does not,
remove the printer from the Device
Manager (see Windows Help for
steps to follow).
Possible Cause Action
You have selected “No” for the
question about installing the e-Guide. If the Acrobat Reader is installed on
the PC, click No to continue.
If the Acrobat Reader is not installed
on the PC, click Yes to install the
Acrobat Reader, which is required for
part of the help system.
