DHP Restriction

DHP

a service running in an NV9000 system controller

can communicate with only one

instance of the Web Suite at a time. Therefore, if multiple users are to access the NV9000 system
and monitor DHP, those users must use the same instance of the Web Suite. (The multiple users
would specify the IP address of the PC running the service as the URL in their browser.)

Because the Web Suite is a service, it is always in communication with the system controller,
whether a user has a browser open or not. Therefore, when the system controller supports a
router with DHP, all but one instance of the Web Suite must be stopped.

Multiple accesses to DHP might include an instance of DHP-D

running somewhere. If

DHP-D is running, no instance of the Web Suite can access DHP data.

The Web Suite’s tieline and crosspoint views (including the matrix view) do not have this restric-
tion because the restriction is only in the DHP implementation.

1. A Miranda diagnostic utility not generally available to customers.
