Summary

The ‘Matrix View’ tab presents a view of the sources and destinations of your router control
system as a matrix. Rows in the matrix represent destinations; columns in the matrix represent
sources. A third dimension to the matrix (not readily visible) represents levels. Those levels can
be displayed at the top of the page, as an option. A crosspoint of the matrix appears as a colored
round-corner square (which we are calling a “button”).

Unlike other pages in the Web Suite, the matrix view is interactive, allowing you to perform
takes, breakaway, level mapping, and locks and protects.

The examples in this chapter show a simplified system that has 8 sources (ZINx) and 8 destina-
tions (ZOUTx). Each source and destination has 5 levels: HD and AUD IO1–AUDIO4.
