6. Operation
Working with Voice-Overs
On preset, the VO buttons have 3 states: cut, fade, and off. Press the button again to cycle it to
its next state. When the state is ‘cut’, the VO cuts to the program bus during the next transition
and when the state is ‘fade’, the VO fades (at its current rate) to the program bus.

To remove voice-over(s) from program, press the desired VO button(s) on the preset bus to deselect
them and perform a transition in the normal way. Here too, the VO buttons have 3 states: cut, fade,
and off. When the state is ‘cut’, the VO cuts from the program bus during the next transition and
when the state is ‘fade’, the VO fades from the program bus.
Please note: you can “hot cut” VOs directly on and off the program bus at any time, as required,
simply by pressing the desired VO on the program bus. Hot cuts are not recommended.
Hot cuts have side effects on the preset bus, depending on which transition options are active in the
currently selected Imagestore 750.
Voice-Over Menu
You can exercise detailed control of an over’s audio levels in the voice-over menu. Choose the
menu for voice-over 1 or voice-over 2 from the main menu or press a voice-over menu button. This
is the ‘Voice-Over 1’ menu:
The ‘Voice-Over 2’ menu is just like it.
The controls at the bottom of the screen adjusts the “duck” level (the amount main audio is
decreased) and the voice-over level of program output. To adjust these parameter, either use the
knob proxy associated with the green asterisk in the control box, or touch the keypad icon to access
a large keypad with which to enter a number.
The ‘Main Menu’ button returns you to the main menu. The ‘Set All Levels to Unity’ button sets all
16 audio channels of the voice over to unity gain. The ‘EasyPlay’ button takes you to the ‘Easy-
