DNS
DNS allows you to specify the DNS of the network you are connecting to the recorder.
Web Port
Web Port allows you to specify the web port used to connect to the recorder from a remote location. By
default the port is set to 80. Although ports 1 through 65535 are valid, to avoid possible conflicts we
recommend using port 80, or ports 1025 through 65535.
SMTP Setup
SMTP Setup allows you to configure the recorder to send email messages.
Email Via SMTP
Email Via SMTP allows you to enable or disable the email option.
Email Address
Email Address allows you to enter an email address that will receive alarm event information.
Note
Only a single email address can receive alarm even information. If multiple people need to
receive notification, consider using a distribution address.
SMTP Server
SMTP Server allows you to configure the server address of the mail server you will use to send the
email message. The SMTP Server entry can either by the mail server name (maximum of 47
characters) or an IP address.
SMTP Port
SMPT Port allows you to configure the mail port that the specified SMTP server uses. Port 25 is the
default, and most commonly used mail port; ports 465 and 587 are the most typical alternates. Contact
the mail server administrator if you are unsure of the mail port the SMTP server is using.
SMTP Account
SMTP Account allows you to enter an account name that exists on the specified SMTP Server, and is
authorized to send emails via SMTP.
SMTP Password
SMTP Password allows you to enter the corresponding password for the account name entered in the
SMTP Account field.
Use SSL Connection
Use SSL Connection allows you to enable or disable the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL); this
setting should correspond with the configurations on the mail server entered in the SMPT Server field.
Contact the mail server administrator if you are unsure of SSL setting configuration on the mail server.
Email Notice
Email Notice allows you to enable or disable the email notification being sent for each alarm event
triggered.
