ACES PROXY
Select the ACES Proxy check box to generate an ACES-compliant solution. When this option is enabled, all
monitors output an ACES proxy that corresponds to ACESproxy10 (10-bit encoding). The firmware adjusts the
proxy output for each camera and sensor type to ensure that the raw image data is properly transformed into
the ACES color space.
You can record via HD-SDI or HDMI, apply a LUT through a LUT box, and then view the footage in real-time
on an external third-party monitor. Use a LUT that incorporates the Reference Rendering Transform (RRT) and
Output Device Transform (ODT) to create the look you want to achieve for your display.
Enabling the ACES Proxy option does not change the footage recorded to the SSD, but does add an ACES
metadata tag to the R3D file. The R3D has the most recently-selected color space and graded gamma space
(you cannot select color space and graded gamma space when ACES Proxy is enabled).
