Terminal Emulation Program
The Terminal Emulation program is used to test communication
protocol settings and hardware connections between the Allegro and
another device such as a bar code wand, GPS receiver or another
computer.
Connect the device to the Allegro and set up the communication
parameters.
Press F10 Util from FileScout to bring up the Utilities menu. Select
1 Terminal to execute the Terminal Emulation program. The following
screen appears:

Communication Parameters
In the heading at the top of the screen the default settings for the
communication port, baud rate, data bits, parity, and stop bit are
shown. The communication port, baud rate, and parity can be
adjusted if necessary through the F2 Params function. The data bits
(8) and stop bit (1) cannot be adjusted.
Screen Viewing Options
You have three screen viewing options accessed through the F4
Screen function. Keep pressing F4 until the screen option you want is
listed. The screen you select automatically comes up after a delay of
a few seconds.
