On the Background tab under Box Removal, set the “Box Count” property to
16.
This indicates a group of 16 boxes in the field.
9 Set the “Character Per Box” property to “Yes”.
This indicates that characters may only be found within a box, and that only
one character may be found in each box.
Default noise removal is automatically selected when box removal is
configured. This occurs after box removal. Occasionally further noise
removal is required, specifically if the box lines are very jagged. The default
is to remove small marks that are not in close proximity to any other mark.

On the Blob Removal panel, select “Thin Horiz. Lines” and “Thin Vert.
Lines” to remove any thin vertical or horizontal lines that are remaining
