Export Folder View to .CSV File

This feature allows the user to create an ASCII file of
a folder view in any directory the user specifies.

When a user clicks the ‘Export' button, a new
window appears, offering two options: ‘Export
visible'
(default) and ‘Select fields'.

After pressing the ‘Export' button and with
Export visible' selected, TC/Web creates a
‘.csv’ file with the columns that are visible in the
current folder view.

If the user selects the ‘Select fields' option, a
grid with all fields that are available for that folder
view will be displayed. The grid consists of three
columns:

Field Name

Field Description

Export

In the ‘Export' column the user can check or
uncheck fields that will be included in the export file.

After pressing the ‘Export' button and with the
‘Select fields' option selected, TC/Web
creates a ‘.csv’ file with the columns selected by
the user for the current folder view.

Both export options contain a dialog window with
options to save or open the exported file.
