3.8.2 Create New Message from Message Template
The purpose of creating a new message from a
template is to save the
user‟s time and trouble of
specifying the same message components over
and over again. The user can select a template for
a single message.
To enable this feature, the registry key in the
registry value ‘MessageFromTemplateEnable’
must be set to ‘1’. This can be done with the
‘Registry Editor’. By default, this key value is
set to ‘0’.
In the main window there are two ‘New from
Template’ buttons.
When the user clicks ‘New from Template’, the
window for creating the message template will open
with a list of messages from the selected message
folder (see picture 126).
The user can now select the message that is
supposed to serve as template. After pressing the
‘Create’ button, a new message is created
according to the template. This means that the
fields of this message will be filled with data taken
from the message that was selected on the ‘New
from Template’ page.
The user may change any field data in this window.
After clicking ‘Send Message’, a confirmation
message will be displayed (see picture 128).
