Prepare the digital component.

Insert a recordable MD or tape.
If tape, insert it to deck B.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
"OPTICAL IN" appears in the
display.
Press REC when you want to record
onto MD, press REC PAUSE/
START when you want to record
onto a tape.
The MD or tapestands by for recording
and the sound from the connected
digital component can be heard.

Press MD ►!! for MD recordings,
press REC PAUSE/START for tape
recording.
Recording starts.

Start playback of the desired music
source.
To stop recording
Press ■.
While "TOC" is lit or is flashing
To ensure complete recording, do not move
the deck or pull out the mains lead. The deck
updates the Table of Contents (TOC) while
"TOC" is flashing.
Notes
• This MD deck has an internal sampling rate
converter. The audio signal from digital
components connected to this unit can be recorded
on the MD, regardless of the sampling frequency
(32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz).
• Most DVD discs do not allow digital audio
recording. When recording a digital recording
prohibited DVD source, whether digital
connections are made or not, analogue recording
is performed.
• When you record onto a tape, analogue recording
is performed.
