To undo the Divide Function
Use the Undo Function immediately after you
divided the track (see page 53), or use the
Combine Function.
Tip
• You can divide a track while MD is stopped or
playing.
Notes
• If you divide a labelled track (page 50) into two
tracks, only the first track is labelled with the title.
Eg.
To cancel dividing
Press ■.

The latter track will have no title.
The track cannot be divided at the beginning or
end. If these points are designated, "Impossible"
appears. Turn the jog dial and shift the dividing
point.
Combining
recorded tracks
— Combine Function
You can combine 2 tracks into a single track.
The total number of tracks decreases by one
and all tracks following the combined ones
are automatically renumbered.
Eg.: Combining tracks B and C.
