8.9.12 REEL
TINES
IMPORTANT
Keep reel tines in good condition.
Straighten or replace as required.
8.9.12.1 Removal - Steel Tines
CAUTION
To avoid bodily injury from fall of raised reel,
always engage reel props before going under
raised reel for any reason.
a. Lower header, raise reel, and engage reel props.
b. Remove the tine tube bushings from the
applicable tine tube at the center and left discs.
Refer to Section 8.9.13 Tine Tube Bushings.
c. Temporarily attach reel arms (A) to the reel disc,
using the original attachment locations (B).
d. Cut the damaged tine(s) so that it can be
removed from tube.
e. Remove bolts on existing tines, and slide tines
over to replace the tine that was cut off in
previous step. Remove reel arms (A) from tube
as required.
8.9.12.2 Installation - Steel Tines
IMPORTANT
Ensure tine tube is supported at all
times to prevent damage to the tube or
other components.
a. Slide new tines and reel arms (A) onto end of
tube.
b. Install tine tube bushings. Refer to Section 8.9.13
Tine Tube Bushings.
c. Attach tines to tine bar with bolts and nuts (C).
