3. Measure the gap between points “A” and “B” as shown
in Figure 46. This is done with the float causing the
rubber bumper to rest lightly against the seat.

4. To set gap, loosen locking nut and turn adjustment
screw until 5/8-inch (15.8 mm) length clearance is
acheived. Replace rubber bumper if necessary to
obtain this clearance.
5. Tighten locking nut.
6. Carefully reinstall the float assembly back inside the
suction chamber.
7. Reinstall the 4 wrench nuts on top of the suction
chamber, hand tighten wrench nuts snugly.
