10.5 Set temperature gradient
10.5.1 Set
values
A temperature gradient for an individual heater zone may be programmed in up to 9
steps. Temperature changes from initial step to next step within a period of time
selected before. Times to be set accumulated progress steps and not sectional
values. (refer to example)
A total of 4 different temperature gradients may be saved.
Hit Set Ramp key. A temperature gradient setting menu appears in display. Cursor
automatically jumps to No X. This is the file name of the previous parameter set. To
select another of the 4 memories, or overwrite a memory, select this memory with the
Value rotating knob.
Move cursor to zone wanted with Select keys. Select zone to be edited with Value
rotary knob. To program all of the 4 zones with the same temperature gradient, hit
Identic key. Display changes from zone X to "Ident".
At this point set cursor on first temperature in table and set value by rotating Value
knob. ( Start-time is “0“ all the time).
Select W
key moves cursor from field to field. Select X key takes you to next
zone automatically when programming is complete.

Click on more values with cursor and set value with rotary knob. Refer to physical
limiting values for heating and cooling.
Time value of a step not being „---„ , number zero will be counted
as 0°C !
Put a straight line through two values of a sequence (refer to graph)
max. heating rate: 3°C per minute
max. cooling rate in air: 2°C per minute

Temperature value of the last step programmed will be maintained until
disconnecting the item from power supply. Item accepts up to 9 steps, less of course
also. To save room in display, only 3 steps are displayed the same time; to have a
look at more steps, use cursor scroll function (Select key). e.g. after steps 1-2-3, you
may scroll to steps 2-3-4 or 4-5-6, etc. To return, hit opposite-sense Select key. Not
needing to program all of the 9 steps, hit Set Ramp key to directly reach the next
zone's programming function. No temperature changes wanted for certain zones,
just enter nominal temperature for the zone concerned in step 1.
