Figure 34 shows four AT-LX3800U systems in a regeneration
configuration. The line cards in the regeneration units (site B) are
configured in either mode 7 (line loopback enabled) or mode 3 (port
missing link enabled, line missing link disabled). If you choose mode 3, the
line card automatically switches from line loopback configuration to a
passthrough configuration as soon as the SFP port receives an optical
signal. Ifno signal is received on the SFP port, then mode 3 operates in the
same way as mode 7.
