This section explains how to send and receive
messages, and other features and functionality
associated with messaging.
Types of Messages
Your phone supports these types of messages:
•
Text Messages
: Send and receive simple messages
containing text to other mobile phones or Email
addresses (also known as SMS).
•
Multimedia Messages
: Send and receive text
messages with attached pictures, video, and/or
sound to other mobile phones or email addresses
(also known as MMS).
•
Voicemail
: Retrieve voice messages from callers.
•
Mobile Email
: Send and receive email from your
email accounts.
Using the QWERTY Keyboard
For fast and easy entry of contact information,
open the phone to use the QWERTY keyboard.

Note:
Instructions for creating, editing and
managing Contacts use the QWERTY
keyboard, unless otherwise stated in the
procedure.
Accessing Messages
Messages you send and receive are stored in
Messaging.
1.
From the Main screen, press MESSAGES.
2.
Choose an option:
• Voicemail: Access Voicemail, to retrieve voice
messages from callers. For more information,
• Send Message: Create a new message. For

• Messages: Create, send and manage
messages you have sent, received, and created
but not sent (drafts).
• Service Alerts: View messages from your
