Use the Program Diagnostics Menu in the MDC to functionally test the system hardware. Each input and
output can be tested independently. The following list may also help localize the problem.
For further technical assistance, contact technical support at the numbers listed on the back cover of the
instruction manual.
PROBLEMS
POSSIBLE CAUSE

NO DISPLAY
1. Power off
2. Improperly wired
3. Voltage selector switch in the wrong position.
4. Power in a Brown out condition.
1. Verify power.
2. Check Wiring.
3. Check switch position.
4. Verify supply voltage.
CHECK SUM ERROR 1 OR 2 ON DISPLAY
1. Data error detected by processor.
2. Power turned off with the unit in the
Programming Module (after entering new data values).
1. Press “ENT” then “SEL”.
a. Check all programming parameters.
b. Check signal lines for possible noise sources.
2. Press “ENT” then “SEL”
a. Reenter new values.
CANNOT ENTER PROGRAMMING
MENUS
1. Front panel disabled.
2. Wrong pro code number.
3. Unit in JOG mode.
1. Check Front Panel Accessible Programming
With Program Disable section of the manual.
2. Enter correct number, (factory default is 0) or see
section above.
3. Place unit in STOP mode.
UNIT WILL NOT ACCEPT THE
DESIRED USER SETPOINTS
1. User setpoint is out of range.
1. Check the limits listed in the User Setpoints
section of the manual.
SETPOINT CAN BE VIEWED
BUT NOT CHANGED
1. Front panel disabled.
1. Verify programming in Program Options Menu
Operator Access section.
a. Check Front Panel Accessible Programming
with Program Disable section of the manual.
UNIT WILL NOT ENTER RUN MODE
1. R-STOP, F-STOP inputs wired incorrectly.
2. Unit in Program mode.
3. Unit is in JOG mode.
1. R-STOP and F-STOP inputs must be held low or tied to
comm. to enter RUN mode.
2. RUN is disabled. Exit the programming module.
3. Place unit in STOP mode.
