Calibrating the pulse frequency range
The
Calculated Pulse Value field is automatically calculated as:
This value is often required to be programmed into the device that is receiving the pulses to enable it to calculate
the correct flow rate – for example, when connecting the pulse output to an energy meter.

Printing
Logged data can be printed using an RS232-compatible printer.
3.9.1 How to print logged data using the RS232 printer
This procedure shows you how to set up and use the RS232 printer to print logged data.
Setting up an RS232 connection
1.
Connect the PUF to the printer using the printer cable supplied. This cable is fitted with a 9-way D-Type plug
terminated as follows:
4.
Ensure that the printer has sufficient paper, is switched
ON and ON LINE.
1.
With the instrument operating in the
FLOW
READING mode, press the Pulse function key
to access the
PULSE OUTPUT screen.
2.
Select
Max Pulse Freq (Hz) and enter the
required value.
3.
Select
Flow at Max Freq and enter the
required value (gal/min).
4.
Select
Exit and press the ENTER key to return
to the
FLOW READING screen
