USING YOUR DRINKING WATER SONDE WITH A YSI
6500 PROCESS MONITOR
Introduction: If you want to output data from your drinking water sonde to a SCADA system in either 4-
20 mA or RS-485 Modbus format, then you will be required to interface the sonde to a YSI 6500 Process
Monitor which must be purchased separately. The 6500 is shown in the picture below and generally, you
will set up the 6500/Sonde/SCADA combination as shown in the diagram located below the picture.
