Configuration Error Messages
Message Condition Action
AgSw&BRDG Incmpt Bridge Mode is incompatible with Network
Interface set to AggSw or forced on. Refer to configuration option NetIntf.
Asy Not= forChan MCMP mode: all ports in a sharing group must
all be the same, either asynchronous or
synchronous. When asynchronous, all ports
must be the set the same for asynchronous
rate, bits/char, and number of stop bits. Use configuration option Async
→
Sync to set
all ports. If set to Async, also set the
configuration options Async Rate,
AsyncBit/Char, and Stop Bits for each port.
BRDG&SymP Incmpt Multipoint symmetric enabled is incompatible
with Bridge mode and NonDisruptive
diagnostics. Disable configuration option M-PtSymPrt.
BRG&Bilat Incmpt Bilateral Loopback enabled is incompatible with
Bridge mode. Disable configuration option Bilat Lpbk.
Chan >1 in FEPGrp MCMP mode: both ports in a FEP port-sharing
group must be assigned to the same channel. Assign the same channel to both ports in a
FEP port-sharing group using the PrtSp
configuration submenu to access Chan.
Chan >1 in ShrGrp MCMP mode: all ports in a digital-sharing group
are not assigned to the same channel. Use the PrtSp configuration submenu to
access Chan. For the ports, use configuration
options Share DevA or Share DevB with
Lowest Port # and #Ports in Gp.
Ctrl Type Requir Bridge mode: a DSU configured as a tributary
cannot be in Bridge mode. Set the configuration option Position to Cntrl
for digital bridging.
CTS delay > 1024 TDM mode:
•
If the port speed is equal to or greater than
38.4 kbps, the RTS to CTS delay should be
504 ms or less.
•
DBM port speed is set to 32 kbps and RTS
delay is more than 1280 ms.
•
Port speed is set to 32 kbps and RTS delay is
greater 1280 ms.
•
Set the delay with configuration option
RTS/CTS Del.
•
Change the configuration option RTS/CTS
Del to 1280 ms or less or change DBM
PrtSp(Kbps).
•
Change the configuration option RTS/CTS
Del to 1280 ms or less.
DDS must be 56k MCMP mode: the DDS data rate is not set to
56 kbps for MCMP. Set the DSU configuration option Rate(Kbps)
to 56 kbps.
DSD Async Diff
•
TDM mode: all ports in a port-sharing group
must be the same, either asynchronous or
synchronous. If asynchronous, all async
options must be the same.
•
Bridge mode: only Port 1 can be
asynchronous. All other ports must be
synchronous.
Use configuration option Async
→
Sync to set
all ports. If set to Async, also set the
configuration options Async Rate,
AsyncBit/Char, and Stop Bits for each port.
DSD Wrong RTS TDM or MCMP multipoint mode: one or more
ports in a digital-sharing group with DSD port
control do not have RTS Control set to DTE. Set the configuration option RTS Cntrl to DTE
for all ports in the digital-sharing group.
