Troubleshooting

Confirm the configuration option settings for the items

listed below that apply to your configuration.

Verify the network, NMS, and DDS connections.
Refer to your User’s Guide, Chapter 2.

For an Out of Frame Thresh message and facility
alarm, verify that the control and tributary:

— DSU rates [Rate(Kbps)] are set to match the

DDS circuit rate.

— Diag Type, Port Speed, and 2nd Ch(bps) are set

the same.

Diagnostic type affects the control and tributary
interaction. Verify that all DSUs are set to the same
Diag Type. Mixed mode is not valid for MCMP.

For multipoint rate adaption, enabling the
M-PtSymPrt configuration option is not required.
With Diag Type of NonD, the default is enable. The
control and all tributaries must be set the same.

For MCMP mode, verify poll list acquire (Acq) is
completed. To add a tributary, use Add or Acq from
the tributary.

To verify the network, request a remote ID and
ensure that you receive all addresses.

Initiate a Digital Test (DT) and an End-to-End Test
(EE) to verify error free communications.

Confirm the CTS Lead, RTS Cntrl, TxCarrSel, and
DSR FrcOn configuration option settings.

may appear after pressing SAVE and the verification
routine runs.

For command, progress, health and status, and

additional configuration error messages, refer to
