Creating tasks for e-Discovery

You can create detailed tasks for both users and third-party administrators to view.
You can also copy an existing task to form the basis of a new task.

The following procedures describe how to create a task, copy a task to use as the
basis for a new task, and how to delete a task.

To view the task settings for e-Discovery, go to Analysis > e-Discovery. Select
the New Task link, complete the tasks described below and select Submit.

Task

Enter a name for the task.

Description

Enter a description for this task.

Search Archives
From:

Select a device or multiple devices. The archived email you specify in

this task will be searched on only the selected devices.

All Devices

Displays all the devices that can be searched for

archives. Select one, multiple, or all devices using the

arrows.

Search

Devices

Displays all the devices that are chosen for searching

archives. If you want to remove a device, multiple

devices, or all devices, use the arrows.

User Access
Permissions:

The users that the super administrator wants to allow other

administrators permission to view these tasks.

All Users

Displays all the users that have access to the portal

web site.

Viewers

The administrators that will be allowed to view the

tasks. If you want to remove a user, multiple users, or

all users, select the user or users and move them

using the arrows.
