Once NT/LDAP domains are set up in the Group tree, the
global administrator assigns Sub Admin group administra-
tors the following entities (nodes) to manage: domain,
group(s), members, and/or LDAP containers.

NOTE: See Set up Group Administrator Accounts in Chapter 2:
Network Setup for information on creating and managing Sub
Admin group administrator accounts.

Assign Sub Admin to NT/LDAP Entity

A group administrator assigned to an NT/LDAP entity
(domain, group, member, LDAP container) has the privi-
leges to add, edit, or delete entities to/from that node to
which he/she is assigned. This Sub Admin group adminis-
trator is also responsible for creating and maintaining
filtering profiles for entities in his/her assignment.

1. Click Assign to at any level of the NT/LDAP Group tree

(domain, group, member, LDAP container) to open the
Assign Access pop-up window (see Fig. 5-1). In the
Assign Access to selected tree nodes frame, the name of
the entity (Node Name) displays, along with that node’s
Assignable status. If the node has already been assigned
to a group manager, the username for the Assigned User
displays.

2. From the Assign to user field, choose from the list of

available Sub Admins:
