Set the lens’s focus mode switch to

set the Mode Dial to < A > (Scene
Intelligent Auto) ( = 70).
z All the necessary camera settings will
be set automatically.

Flip out the LCD monitor ( = 40).
z When the LCD monitor displays the
date/time/zone setting screen, see
page 43.

Focus on the subject ( = 50).
z Look through the viewfinder and aim
the viewfinder center over the subject.
z Press the shutter button halfway, and
the camera will focus on the subject.
z If necessary, lift the flash with your
fingers.
